Pascal Weisberger would have turned 19 on Feb. 2. A tragedy in Could 2020 – he was killed by his brother – took the 14-year-old boy who fought for the atmosphere, adored pets and gave all the things he needed to his Higher Keys group. 

Colleges, native organizations and residents throughout the island chain will give again to their communities by way of particles cleanups and different tasks for the sixth annual Pascal Weisberger Day of Service on Feb. 2. The occasion was began by former Treasure Village Montessori principal Kelly Mangel who labored alongside Ariel Poholek, Pascal’s father, and the group. 

The day has grown exponentially through the years with participation amongst faculties, organizations and people within the Keys. Two years in the past, Monroe County formally declared Feb. 2 as Pascal’s Annual Day of Service, encouraging college students and people in the neighborhood to have interaction in cleanups and different acts of service.

College students throughout Monroe County will mobilize for a day of service to honor Weisberger’s work in the neighborhood. Poholek can also be encouraging participation amongst native companies this 12 months. Whereas cleanups are worthwhile service actions, any type of group service is a valued contribution to the day.
