The Faculty of the Florida Keys will open its 2025 VIP Collection with back-to-back displays on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. at CFK’s Higher Keys middle in Key Largo and on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. within the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West campus. 

Marine scientist, creator and CFK alumnus Jack Stein Grove will current “Galapagos Fishes, from the Shore to the Abyss and from Darwin to DNA.” Drawing from 50 years of analysis and adventures within the Galapagos Islands, Grove will focus on the pure historical past and various wildlife of the well-known archipelago. Grove graduated from CFK in 1972 earlier than setting sail on his first expedition to the Galapagos in 1975 as an undergraduate of the College of West Florida. 

His analysis has been printed in quite a few scientific and widespread articles. He wrote “Fishes of the Galapagos Islands,” printed by Stanford College in 1997, which included a foreword by Jean Michele Cousteau. His new complete ebook in regards to the fishes of the Galapagos is scheduled to be launched, open entry, in 2025.
