It took only one weekend for Marathon so as to add two icons of the vacations within the Center Keys for the foreseeable future, because the Pigeon Key Vacation Spectacular and seven Mile SantaCon earned a convincing response from locals and guests alike on Dec. 14.
A Friday night time dinner below the lights welcomed sponsors and dignitaries to a fully-bedazzled Pigeon Key, fully reworked into a vacation village for Saturday’s Spectacular with big Santas, “snow” and glowing lights on nearly every part above floor.
“That is just the start,” stated govt director Kelly McKinnon. “It’s simply going to get larger and higher yearly.”
A throng of “large children” in Santa hats on Saturday made their option to Keys Fisheries, Lighthouse Kitchen & Bar, Lazy Days South and Sundown Grille for the Higher Marathon Chamber of Commerce’s 7 Mile SantaCon, indulging in vacation cocktails earlier than boarding the Polar Specific and becoming a member of the family-friendly sold-out celebration on Pigeon Key.
