TRAFFIC STOP IN KEY LARGO LEADS TO GUN AND DRUG CHARGES AMONG FOUR MEN

-

4 males have been arrested following a June 7 visitors cease on U.S. 1 during which two handguns — considered one of them reported stolen — and medicines have been discovered.

In keeping with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Workplace, deputies stopped a Nissan sedan at roughly 7:15 p.m. close to Mile Marker 103 in Key Largo. Deputies mentioned there was a robust odor of marijuana emanating from the car. A subsequent search by deputies led to the invention of  two loaded 9mm handguns — considered one of them reportedly stolen from a car parked at a Florida Panthers hockey recreation in line with the Dawn Police Division — two loaded prolonged magazines and roughly 22.5 grams of marijuana.

Deputies say Demerion Altwon Fields, 21, of Greenacres, was driving the car. He was charged with driving with no legitimate driver’s license, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition being the topic of a danger safety order, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

One of many occupants within the car, Isaiah Dimitris McCrary, 20, of West Palm Seashore, has a earlier conviction of theft with a lethal weapon in Palm Seashore County. Deputies mentioned Fields was not allowed to own firearms attributable to a earlier safety order in opposition to him during which he was deemed an excessive danger. He was charged with grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a Florida delinquent, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jimmy Cliff Leger, 21, of Palm Springs was charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Todd Bradley Presendieu, 20, of Lake Price was charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All 4 suspects have been taken to jail.
