test to determine the A.J. Hally Marine Scholarship to Lana Gaspari, left, vice chairman, and Jonathan Gueverra, president, of the Faculty of the Florida Keys. CONTRIBUTED
On June 3, the Faculty of the Florida Keys Basis acquired $32,500 from the Coldwell Banker Schmitt Charitable Basis to determine a scholarship in reminiscence of Arcenio John “A.J.” Hally.
This scholarship helps college students who, like Hally, display a deep appreciation for the ocean, a dedication to environmental stewardship, and a drive to make a significant influence of their communities.
By endowing the scholarship, a portion of the donation is invested, and its earnings will present scholarship awards to college students in perpetuity — memorializing Hally and supporting marine training and coaching.
The scholarship is offered to college students pursuing levels and certificates throughout the school’s Division of Marine Sciences and Expertise, together with marine science, marine engineering and diving, in addition to engineering know-how. college students might apply for the $2,000 scholarship for the 2025-26 educational 12 months by June 30 at www.cfk.edu/uncover/cfk-foundation/scholarship-info.
Extra info is offered from Lana Gaspari, vice chairman of development and basis govt director, at 305-809-3214 or basis@cfk.edu, and at cfk.edu/paying-for-college/.
